The Yalla Yallas are a UK punk and rock and roll band formed in Leeds by frontman Rob Galloway. They take their name from a song by Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros.

The band releases a debut album, Act of Defiance, followed by Diamond in Dirt.

Support and live activity

The Yalla Yallas are championed by Strummerville, the music charity set up after Joe Strummer’s death. They perform as a four-piece and are described as an energetic and loud live band. Their shows include Rob Galloway joining the crowd on the dancefloor, along with spontaneous shouts of his trademark phrase, “Rock n Roll!!”
