The Wolfhounds

The Wolfhounds are a UK indie rock band from Romford, London. They form in 1985 and remain active, with a line-up including Andy Bolton, David Callahan, Paul Clark and Richard Golding. Their sound spans c86, indie pop, indie rock and noise pop.

Career

The band first draws wider attention through the C86 compilation, where they appear as a pop and rock group with an off-kilter approach. Over time they develop a more individual style. Their final album, Attitude, moves into heavier territory associated with Sonic Youth, combining forceful guitars with more carefully arranged passages.

Later activity

After the band, member Dave Callahan goes on to form Moonshake.
