The Wedding
The Wedding is a Christian rock band from Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States. It forms in 2003 and remains active. The group starts as an alternative rock act and is associated with Christian rock, rock, pop punk and emo.
Line-up
The band is founded by Kevin Kiehn on vocals, Trevor Sarver on guitar, Cody Driggers on bass and Clint Robinson on drums. By the time of its indefinite hiatus announcement in 2015, the line-up is Matt Shelton on vocals, Trevor Sarver on guitar, Cody Driggers on bass, Adam Thron on guitar and Matt Jameson on drums.
Releases
The Wedding releases a self-titled debut album in 2005, followed by the Rumble In The South EP in 2006. Its second album, Polarity, appears in 2007, and The Sound The Steel EP follows in 2008. After the closure of Brave New World Records in 2009, the band works independently for three years and issues the Distance EP in 2010. It then signs to Tooth & Nail Records in 2012 before releasing its third and final album, No Direction, that same year.
Career and touring
The band begins on Rambler Records, which later becomes Brave New World Records. Its songs are described as drawing on pop punk, rock, post-hardcore and southern rock. The Wedding tours with Falling Up, Pillar, Project 86, John Reuben, Anberlin, Bleach, Disciple, Spoken, The O.C. Supertones and Deas Vail, among others.
