The Violets

The Violets are a UK indie band from London and have been active since 2005. The group is formed by guitarist Joe, who also co-runs Angular Recording Corporation, the label that releases their music. The band line-up includes Alexis on vocals and Andrew on drums.

Their music draws on post-punk and indie rock, with influences that range from Patti Smith to 1980s Berlin synth groups such as Malaria! and DAF, as well as Prag Vec, D.N.A. and the films of Dario Argento and David Lynch.
