The Velveteins are an indie rock group from Edmonton, Canada. They form in 2014 after frontman Spencer Morphy returns to Canada following a year living out of a camper van on the beaches of Australia, and he starts the band with co-songwriter Addison Hiller.

Their sound combines 1960s psychedelia with the indie rock of the 2000s, placing them between those two styles. The group is described as an Edmonton act and is associated with Canadian indie rock.
