The Underground Youth is a British post-punk band based in Berlin. The group forms in 2008 and remains active, with an origin linked to Manchester and Berlin. It is led by Craig Dyer and includes Olya Dyer.

Style and influences

The Underground Youth work in lo-fi, psychedelic and shoegaze-leaning styles, with their music also associated with garage rock and neo-psychedelia. Their sound draws on a range of influences, including The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Velvet Underground, Bob Dylan’s ballads and writing style, and the noise of The Jesus & Mary Chain.
