The Suzukis

The Suzukis are a UK alternative rock group. They are based in Wigan, England and are active from 2003. The line-up comprises Adam Bamford, Stuart Robinson, Chris Veasey and Robert Warnes, with Veasey on vocals, Bamford on guitar, Warnes on bass and Robinson on drums.

The band forms in 2002 and signs to Deltasonic, the Sony/Columbia indie imprint also associated with The Zutons, The Coral and The Dead 60's, in 2005. They play support slots with other acts on the label, including a notable show with The Fall in January 2006, before largely disappearing from view.

Their first release is the four-track Reducer EP, which arrives in July 2007. Work on a debut album begins during 2007, including a mastering session at New York's Soundtrack Recording Studio in late November. In late 2008 they release the two-track digital single Night-time Takes Over.

Their self-titled debut album, The Suzukis, appears in 2011 after Deltasonic has separated from Sony. To support the album, the band makes the opening track, "Are You Happy With Yourself?", available as a free download through its official website. In September 2012 the group announces that it has split up, despite having new material in progress.
