The Stroppies

The Stroppies are an indie pop and indie rock group from Melbourne. The lineup includes Claudia Serfaty, and the group also features members of Dick Diver, Twerps, the Stevens and Blank Statements. Their sound is described through lo-fi production and sparse instrumentation, with jangling guitars, vintage organ, scrappy melodies and plain vocals.

Their first release is a seven-song debut that connects to the jangly guitar pop and post-punk tradition associated with Flying Nun, the Bats and the Clean. The group’s music also draws interest from listeners of the individual bands represented in its membership.
