The Stranger

The Stranger is the ambient producer Leyland Kirby, from Stockport in the United Kingdom, born in 1974. He is also known under the names V/Vm and The Caretaker.

His work is associated with dark ambient, industrial, electronic, noise and ambient music. The name is also used by several other acts and publications, including a Chicago garage, punk and rockabilly group, a Seattle weekly newspaper, a progressive metal band from Brisbane, and a punk band from St. Louis.
