The Strands

The Strands are a United States group and a Santa Monica band associated with Amanda Campbell. They begin in 2011 and continue to be active.

The band is linked to brothers Michael and John Head, who also form the group Shack. The Strands come together during the confusion around Shack’s first split and produce a folk-influenced release with a rawer, more acoustic sound than Waterpistol. It is often described as a lost classic associated with the Head brothers.
