The Spoils

The Spoils are an Australian group from Melbourne, active since around 1999, with Bronwyn Henderson and Sean Simmons as members. The name has also been used by at least two different bands, including a Massachusetts hardcore punk act and a Melbourne band with a rock-based sound.

Melbourne group

The Melbourne line-up plays a style that draws on rock, gypsy, circus and cabaret, with elements of folk and country. Their music is described as combining theatrical and roots-based influences rather than fitting a single genre.

Massachusetts hardcore punk band

Another band called The Spoils comes from Massachusetts and plays hardcore punk. That group features Kevin Mahoney and Robert Williams, both of whom are also associated with the proto-grind and powerviolence band Siege. It releases one 12-inch record, To The Victor..., on Deep Six Records.
