The Souljazz Orchestra

The Souljazz Orchestra is a jazz-funk group from Ottawa, Canada, active since 2002. The group combines jazz and funk with African and Latin music, and its songs often touch on politics and spirituality.

Style and influences

The group’s sound draws on a wide range of musical backgrounds within the band, including jazz, funk, blues, reggae, classical music, and traditional Cuban, Brazilian and West African percussion.
