The Shelters

The Shelters are a rock band from Los Angeles. The group forms in 2015 and consists of Sebastian Harris, Josh Jove, Jacob Pillot and Chase Simpson. The band begins with Chase Simpson, Josh Jové and Sebastian Harris, and all of the members previously play in Automatik Slim.

Career and connections

Tom Petty takes an interest in the band and gives them access to his home studio, where he offers advice and listens to what they are working on. Jové and Simpson serve as the principal songwriters, and they spend long periods in Petty’s studio working both independently and with him.
