The Sea Kings
The Sea Kings are a progressive folk trio from Cornwall, UK. The group grows out of friendships formed in their teenage years, when the members are occasional bandmates before later moving separately to London in the early 2000s to pursue music careers. They are then brought back together through solo performances on the Greenwich open-mic circuit, and after a summer of travelling and busking around Europe they decide to work on new material as a band.
Line-up
The Sea Kings are James Wills on vocals and guitar, Joe Holtaway on vocals and mandolin, and Jake Alexander on vocals, percussion and cello.
Releases
Their four-track EP, An Introduction To The Sea Kings, is released through the online distribution service Record Union in April 2010. The release includes songs that later feature on an album planned for release in autumn 2011.
