The Rogues
The Rogues are a group associated with Celtic music, bagpipes, garage rock, folk and Scottish folk. The name is used by several different acts, including a Texan bagpipe band, a 1960s cover band from Buffalo, an Australian classic rock band, a Detroit street punk band, a Fresno indie band and a German cover rock band.
Texan bagpipe band
The Rogues are a band from Texas, in the United States, and perform Scottish folk with bagpipes. The group includes E.J. Jones, Randy Wothke and Lars Sloan.
Other acts using the name
One Rogues line-up is a 1960s club band from Buffalo, New York, known for covers of the Beatles, the Who, the Yardbirds and the Rolling Stones. This version of the band also releases a single coupling “The Train Kept a Rollin'” with “You Better Look Now” in 1966.
Another is a classic rock band based in Brisbane, Australia. A separate street punk band comes from Detroit, Michigan and is active from the late 1980s into the early 1990s. There is also an indie band from Fresno, California, and a German cover rock band from Stuttgart.
