The Rocket
The Rocket is a Belgian pop punk group from Aarschot, active since 2008. It has two members: Bastiaan Jonniaux and Frederik Meuris. The band is identified with pop punk and rock, and it is a Belgian act rather than the separate groups that use the same name elsewhere.
Releases
The group releases a self-titled full album in 2008, followed by the EP Tales Of Madness And Mischief in 2010 and the digital EP Growing Pains in 2012. Its later full-length album, Not Everyone Grows Up To Be An Astronaut, is released via Funtime Records. This album is followed by a cover of Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.), recorded for Belgian national radio station MNM and also issued with a video.
Style and live performance
The Rocket’s sound is described through catchy, synth-driven songs. The band also has trademark uniforms and a reputation for energetic live shows.

Known members are Bastiaan Jonniaux, who plays drums, and Frederik Meuris, who plays synth and provides backing vocals.
