The Redlands Palomino Company are a UK country rock group with roots in alt-country and Americana. The band forms in London in 1999 and centres on husband and wife singers Hannah Elton-Wall and Alex Elton-Wall; the verified line-up gives Hannah Elton-Wall and David Rothon.

Style and reception

The group is associated with the UK alt-country scene and with Americana. They receive strong critical attention from several outlets: The Guardian describes them as “Alt-country heroes”, BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris calls them “Exceptional”, The Sun comments on Hannah Elton-Wall’s voice in glowing terms, and Drowned in Sound calls them one of the most exciting bands on the UK alt-country scene.

Performances and touring

The Redlands Palomino Company make regular festival appearances in the UK and also perform in Norway, France and Spain. They tour with a wide range of Americana acts, including Richmond Fontaine, The Sadies, Peter Bruntnell, The Rockingbirds, Tift Merritt and The Deadstring Brothers.

Recordings

The band releases two albums on Laughing Outlaw Records: By the time you hear this... and Take Me Home. They also issue the EP She Is Yours on the same label. In 2011 they sign with Clubhouse Records and release a third album, Don’t Fade. A fourth album is recorded in the Forest of Dean in 2012.
