The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is an American emo, emo pop, pop punk, post-hardcore and rock group from Middleburg, United States. The band forms in 2003 and remains active from 2004 onwards.
History and formation
The band begins in Middleburg, Florida, about 30 miles south-west of Jacksonville. Its early line-up centres on Ronnie Winter as lead vocalist, with Joey Westwood on bass, Josh Burke on guitar and Jon Wilkes on drums; all four also sing backing vocals. Other members associated with the group include Duke Kitchens, Elias Reidy, Randy Winter and John Espy.
Recordings and releases
The group signs to Virgin Records and releases its 2006 album Don’t You Fake It, which goes gold and includes the single “Face Down”. Its 2009 album Lonely Road enters the top twenty of the Billboard 200. The band later parts ways with Virgin Records and issues the EP The Hell Or High Water as a self-released project in 2010.
Am I the Enemy?
“Reap” is the first single from the band’s third studio album, Am I the Enemy?. The track appears first on YouTube in March 2011 and is then made available for download the following month. The album follows in 2011.
