The Rebirth is a Los Angeles, United States-based 2000s funk and soul group. It operates as a seven-piece ensemble and includes Patrick Bailey, Mark Cross, Loslito, Greg Malone and Noelle Scaggs among its members.

The group builds a sound from an organic mix of new and traditional soul, hip-hop, jazz and funk. Its music sits between progressive contemporary soul and the classic band tradition associated with Earth, Wind & Fire, Ramp, Pleasure, Rotary Connection, Side Effect and Roy Ayers. Vocal harmony is a major part of the group’s style, alongside instrumental interplay and songcraft.

The Rebirth places emphasis on melody, rhythm, lyrics, arrangement, performance and production as equal parts of the record-making process. Its songs are described as both mystical and generous in tone, with attention given to the construction of the song itself rather than sampling-based methods.
