The Rebel Riot

The Rebel Riot are a punk group from Yangon, Myanmar, active since 2007. They play punk, raw punk and street punk, and form part of the country’s punk hardcore scene.

The group is associated with political and social themes in its music, using songs to address anarchism, internationalism, atheism, anti-war ideas and criticism of the political system. Their formation coincides with a period of protest in Myanmar against military oppression and corruption, and their work reflects that context.
