The Raven Age
The Raven Age are a melodic metal band from London, England, active since 2012. The group forms around guitarist George Harris and features Matt Cox, Jai Patel and Matt Polley.
Background
The band begins in 2009, when guitarists Dan Wright and George Harris start developing a project aimed at combining contemporary heavy music with strong melodic vocals. After writing their first album, they look for other musicians to bring the band together as a full live act. Matt Cox joins on bass in 2012, and vocalist Michael Burrough and drummer Jai Patel join in early 2013, completing the original line-up described in the band’s early history.
Style and releases
The Raven Age are associated with melodic metal, groove metal and metalcore, and are also tagged with heavy metal and alternative metal. Their debut EP is released in 2013.
