The Rattlesnakes are an Australian rockabilly group. Their stated influences include a wide range of rock, punk and indie acts, among them The Pixies, Pavement, Mission of Burma, Q and not U, Black Sabbath, Sleater-Kinney, The Breeders, The Microphones, The Vaqueros, Sonic Youth, Deerhoof, Silver Jews, The Replacements, Guided by Voices, The Kinks, The Misfits, the Minutemen, Neutral Milk Hotel, Beastie Boys, The Queers and The Unicorns.

The group also cites a set of non-musical influences and interests, including burritos, pizza, food, soda, Kate taking their pictures, animals, horror movies, nature-destroying stuff, lots of beer, herbs, the Boston Celtics, bikinis, cheap used musical equipment and Talby.

They practise in Mike’s basement, where a broken light once was left unreplaced and Brian was shocked by it.
