The Ragamuffins
The Ragamuffins are a garage rock and surf rock group from Los Angeles, United States. They are a 1960s US band and are most commonly known from the Pebbles compilation volume 4.
Background
The group is associated with 1960s American surf, pop and garage rock. A separate Liverpool pop quartet also uses the name The Ragamuffins, but this Los Angeles group is the 1960s US act.
Related context
The band is part of the same wider scene as the Music Machine, the group known for the hit “Talk Talk” and the album Turn On. After the original band’s core falls apart, it continues recording as Sean Bonniwell’s Music Machine.
