The Quest is the moniker of Dutch trance artist Benno de Goeij, who is also known for work as one half of Rank 1 with Piet Bervoets and as one half of Kamaya Painters with Tijs Verwest, known as Tiësto. Under The Quest name, he uses a relatively little-known alias that is associated with some of the trance genre’s biggest dance hits. He continues to work with Rank 1.
The Quest is also used as the name of a symphonic metal band from Ankara, Turkey, founded in April 2009 by Onur Usta, Anıl Kılınç and Gencay Genç. That group aims to combine progressive and symphonic music, and begins its career with Serdar Emre Ünsal and Gamze Tanyolu before later changes in membership. Ege and Ramtin join during the search for new members, and the lineup is later completed by Ercüment Kısa, Pelin Arıca and Eray Evcil.
A third act with the same name is a progressive rock and metal band from Merseyside, Liverpool, in the United Kingdom, active in the early to mid-1990s. It releases two official albums: Do You Believe in 1994 and Change in 1996.
