The Pure Conjecture are an 11-piece band led by Matt Eaton, who is also associated with Actress Hand. The lineup includes rotating members of Electric Soft Parade, British Sea Power, Tenderfoot, Brakes, Restlesslist and others. The group plays soul music, described as sitting between the early work of Dexy’s Midnight Runners and the E Street Band, with a connection to Newhaven rather than New Jersey.
