The Plot in You

The Plot in You are an American metalcore band from Hancock County, Ohio, active since 2010. The group begins as a side project for former Before Their Eyes member Landon Tewers and develops into a full band built around Tewers on vocals and guitars, guitarist Josh Childress, bassist Ethan Yoder and drummer Michael Cooper; the listed membership also includes Mathis Arnell.

Style and background

The band is associated with metalcore, post-hardcore and alternative rock. Their sound also sits within the broader heavy music spectrum often linked to hardcore, deathcore and melodic metalcore. They form in Hancock County and remain active from 2010 onwards.

Releases

The Plot in You release three EPs and five studio albums. Their debut EP, Wife Beater, appears in 2010. This is followed by First Born in 2011 and Could You Watch Your Children Burn in 2013. In 2015, they sign to StaySick Recordings and release Happiness in Self Destruction. They later leave StaySick and sign to Fearless Records in 2017, with Dispose arriving in 2018. Their fifth studio album, Swan Song, follows in 2021.

They also issue the EPs Vol. 1, Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 in 2024.
