The Pheromoans are a UK group associated with garage punk, post-punk, lo-fi, indie rock and stoner rock. They take The Fall as a starting point and move freely across styles, with a DIY approach that defines their work.

Style and approach

The group is described as oddball and rough around the edges, with twanging and pounding guitars, primitive drums and slightly out-of-tune playing. Their material combines comic, light-hearted writing with a loose live energy. Their sound is also compared to an early-1980s Rough Trade single found by chance.

Releases

The Pheromoans release Between the Wine Shop and the Lido as a self-released CDR in 2007. They follow it with the Revamper 7-inch on Convulsive in 2009, Savoury Days on Savoury Days in 2009, Open for Business on Yakisakana in 2009, and a self-titled cassette on Night People in 2010.
