The People The Poet

The People The Poet are an indie rock and alternative rock group from Wales, based in Cardiff. The band forms in 2008 under the name Tiger Please and later adopts the name The People The Poet in 2012. The current line-up includes Tyla Campbell and Greta Isaac.

Early releases as Tiger Please

Before changing name, the band releases two EPs: They Don't Change Under The Moonlight and Seasons. During this period, they also tour with Kids In Glass Houses, Twin Atlantic and Funeral For A Friend.

Rename and later recordings

After becoming The People The Poet, the band releases the song Being Human. Later in the same year, they issue the acoustic EP Thank You For Today and the song Because Of The Blues. In 2013 they release the EP 3 Years In Limbo, which includes Because Of The Blues and The Trip, the latter taken from Thank You For Today.

Debut album

The band also prepares their debut album The Narrator, which follows this run of EP and single releases.
