The Oxides
The Oxides are a Catalonian garage punk rock band formed in 2011 in Les Garrigues, Spain. The group consists of guitarists Marc Jordà, bass guitarist Aleix Estradé, drummer Guillem Seró and vocalist Xabier Villafranca.
Background
The band emerges after several earlier side projects by individual members, including Terrier, Nabo de Pavo and Alè d’All, which play punk; Arrels, which plays hardcore and thrash; and The Kickapoo Liniments, which plays country and bluegrass.
Style
The Oxides’ sound is associated with influences from Eddy Current Suppression Ring, The Hives, U.S. Bombs and The Bronx.
