The Omnific
The Omnific is an instrumental progressive metal group from Australia, formed in Melbourne in 2016. The band consists of two bassists, Matthew Fackrell and Toby Peterson-Stewart, and drummer Jerome Lematua. Its music is described as djent, instrumental and progressive metal, with a two-bass guitar line-up at the centre of its sound.
Activity and releases
Since forming, The Omnific release three EPs independently. The group also tours internationally and makes its first international appearance on a European tour with Intervals and Sithu Aye. Its live set is built to translate the band’s two-bass approach to the stage.
Profile and collaborations
The Omnific develops a style that reaches listeners drawn both to technical music and to atmosphere. The band builds a broad international following and works with Darkglass Electronics, Ernie Ball Music Man and Neural DSP. It appears at the Melbourne Guitar Show and also uses online play-throughs, gear demonstrations and music videos to extend its reach.
