The Montagues

The Montagues are an indie pop group from Sunderland. The band has four members: Daniel Pybus on lead vocals, Johnny Haynes on guitar, Jack Winn on bass and Blake Hemmingway on drums.

The group writes, records and releases its own material. Its first demo is Something About Someone EP, which appears in 2006. After a performance at Escobar in January 2007, the band takes a short hiatus to finish new songs. Those recordings are made at the studio at Outwood Grange College, and three of the four songs from those sessions are made available as free downloads on the band’s MySpace page.

In May 2007, the band announces that it will no longer make music, with the members moving on to new projects. The group is listed as active from 2011 to the present.
