The Mole is the tech-house producer Colin de la Plante, from Canada. He also works as a DJ and producer and tours internationally with a techno-oriented sound.

Career

He releases music under a number of different names and on various labels. His first album, As High as the Sky, appears in May 2008. He is associated with several groups and collaborative projects, including The Bacon Smugglers, Bodensee, Shannon & The Mole, and The Modern Deep Left Quartet.

Collaborations and membership

The Mole is a member of The Modern Deep Left Quartet, an experimental group that includes all of the members of Cobblestone Jazz.

Other artist sharing the name

Another act uses the same name: Th' Mole, a nomadic composer and vocalist known for "whirled fusion" music, elaborate live performances, and an album titled Greatest Hits (Ha Ha Ha) Vol. 1. That act is separate from Colin de la Plante's project.
