The Maydays

The Maydays are a ska act that combines blues, punk rock and rock’n’roll with a 1940s aviation theme. Their songs focus on the oddness and history of mankind, and the project uses raw guitars, drums and bass alongside recordings of roaring aircraft and vintage radio communication.

Their live presentation is part of the same concept, with black-and-white video footage used on stage and online to support the lyrics and atmosphere. The group presents both its recordings and performances as part of a single storytelling approach rather than as music alone.
