The Magoos

The Magoos are a hardcore punk band from Perth, Western Australia. They are described as one of the four Curtin University campus bands involved in national campus band competitions in 2001 and 2002.

The group attracts strongly contrasting reactions in the descriptions attached to it. It is called controversial, and is variously characterised by club members and audience members as unbelievable, insane and intense. Other comments link it with hostile or militant anti-establishment rhetoric, and with expectations of aggressive lyrics aimed at America, England, Australia and the listener.
