The Loveless

The Loveless is a Danish dark rock band that begins when three members leave Saturnus, including Saturnus chief songwriter Kim Larsen. The group moves away from death-doom metal into a very dark, melancholic rock sound.

Early releases

The band’s first release is a three-track demo recorded in 2000. It follows with a full-length album, Star Rover, released in 2002 on Euphonious Records.

Line-up and related work

Kim Larsen’s involvement is affected by his other musical commitments, including his :Of the Wand & The Moon: project, and this contributes to long gaps between recordings. A new album is announced in 2004 for the following year, but no further release follows in the available information.

Other band with the same name

There is also a separate, now-defunct Boston-based indie rock band called The Loveless. That group releases The Loveless EP in 2000 and Gift to the World in 2003 on Q Division. Its line-up includes Dave Wanamaker and Pete Armata, both formerly of Expanding Man, along with Jen Trynin and Tom Polce of Letters to Cleo.
