The Loose Salute
The Loose Salute is a British group from the United Kingdom, associated with classic pop and rock as well as indie, folk, indie pop, alternative and pop. It is founded by drummer Ian McCutcheon, who is also known for his work with Slowdive and Mojave 3 and who sings and plays guitar in the band.
Line-up
The group includes Lisa Billson, Alan Forrester, Pete Greenwood, Charlotte King, Ian McCutcheon and Nick Zala. Earlier listed members include Lisa Delatour Billson on vocals, keys and percussion; Charlotte King on vocals, percussion and bells and whistles; Alan Forrester on keys; Alden Evans on guitars; and Benjamin Wesley Morgan on bass.
Releases and recording
The Loose Salute issues a limited edition EP for Best Before Records in late 2004, titled Suck It Up Buttercup. It later releases the albums Tuned to Love in 2007 and Getting Over Being Under in 2011. The band works with engineer Gareth Parton, whose credits include The Beta Band, The Go Team, The Pipettes and Mojave 3, and with producer Pritpal Soor.
