The Long Hill Ramblers

The Long Hill Ramblers are a traditional band from Sussex in southern England. The group forms around singer Laura Hockenhull and fiddle player Ben Paley, who first work together on a version of Dorothy Elliott’s “One Moonlight Night” for the album The Blind Jack Band. In 2010 they recruit guitarist Tab Hunter and begin as a trio.

In 2011, banjo and mandolin player Daniel Stewart joins the band. He is replaced in 2014 by Dan Edwards, completing the quartet. The band’s repertoire mainly draws on traditional songs from Britain and the United States, and also includes instrumentals and some more contemporary material.
