The Loft
The Loft are a British indie pop band from the United Kingdom. They are best known as an English guitar pop group from the 1980s and are associated with Creation Records, where they issue several releases. The group’s line-up includes Pete Astor and Bill Prince.
History
The Loft form in the 1980s and split after a run of releases on Creation Records. After the band breaks up, frontman Peter Astor forms The Weather Prophets with drummer Dave Morgan. When The Weather Prophets later disband, Astor continues as a solo artist. The Loft later return briefly for a tour in 2006.
