The Little Mill of Happiness

The Little Mill of Happiness are a post-grunge group from Inverness, Scotland, in the United Kingdom. They form in 2010 outside a local bar and line up Steve Obern on vocals, Willie Macaskill on guitar and vocals, Matt Campbell and Pete Macdonald on guitars, Ali Brown on bass, and Craig Aitkenhead on drums. The band records a seven-track demo at GRID Audio Studios in March 2011, then releases its debut EP, Capsized Sailors, later that year.

They build a reputation across the UK for intense live performances. In 2016, they issue their second release, Honk, through IMOUT Records. The group becomes inactive after 2017. Founding drummer Craig Aitkenhead dies in 2021. The band returns in 2024 and plays its first show in eight years in May 2025, with Joshua Mackenzie of The Joshua Hotel on drums.
