The Links
The Links are an alternative group from Lafayette, Louisiana, active since 2013. They describe themselves as a “wedding band from hell” and present a live set built around twisted versions of their own material, improvised jams and psychedelic sound-scapes. The group starts gigging in 2014 and plays shows across the United States.
Style and sound
Their music spans alternative rock, blues, pop punk, punk rock and melodic punk. The studio recordings increasingly reflect the spontaneity of their live performances, with each release drawing more from the loose, unpredictable feel of the stage. Their newest release, BUT THEN: THE LINKS, is described as a swirling collection of sounds ranging from spacey R&B to fast, punk-driven guitar noise.
