The Ladykillers
The Ladykillers are a five-piece surf and rockabilly band based in London. The group forms in 2009 in Harlow, where childhood friends Luke Baker and Jim Harris start the band and later bring in Joey Moriarty and Rob Ingram before moving to London. Shaun Clark then joins on bass as the sound develops from a primitive rockabilly style towards a harder garage rock approach.
Career
The band begins playing on the London live circuit and supports The Jim Jones Revue. Festival appearances at Secret Garden Party follow, along with shows in Europe. In 2012 they tour the United States and end with a show in Las Vegas. Their debut album, Introducing The Ladykillers, is recorded in late 2012 and self-released in January 2013.
Style
The Ladykillers are associated with garage rock, surf and rockabilly, and their music shifts from an early rockabilly direction into a heavier garage rock sound.
