The L Project is an anti-LGBT bullying movement started in the UK by Georgey Payne and Sofia Antonia Milone. In 2011 they gathered an ensemble of like-minded artists and musicians to record the single 'It Does Get Better'. The single was released on 11th February 2012 and features the talents of several artists, all self-professed lesbians. Their aim is to raise awareness about homophobia and LGBT bullying. Sales from the single go towards the charities Diversity Role Models and Stonewall.
The song was written by Georgey Paine and was inspired by a 16 year old friend of hers who had been a victim of homophobic bullying.
