The Kill Van Kulls are a Manchester-based electro pop three-piece from Manchester, United Kingdom. The group releases music through the Manchester independent label simply entitled Label.

Wooden Heart

“Wooden Heart” is a four-track EP recorded with Tim Hampton in his Sheffield studio. It presents the group’s pop-oriented sound with a focus on melody, hooks and choruses, and it includes themes of loss, rejuvenation and melancholy. Lead vocalist Gareth Bartlett says the EP is shaped around the idea of the band performing on a large festival stage, particularly at dusk, and he describes the songs as reflecting personal struggle and eventual reintegration.
