The Kabeedies

The Kabeedies are an indie pop group from Norwich, active from 2006 to 2013. The band is a four-piece made up of Evan on vocals and guitar, Fab on drums, Katie on vocals, and Roary on vocals and bass.

Style and influences

The group plays upbeat, experimental pop with a strong emphasis on vocal interplay and lyrics. Their sound draws on influences including Bjorn, The Smiths, Blur, Blondie, The Strokes, Devo and Buddy Holly.

Releases

The Kabeedies release a string of EPs from 2008 and issue their debut album, Rumpus, on the Norwich label nrone.co.uk. They also release the single “Eyes” and follow it with the album Soap.

The band describes itself as a small group of boys and a girl making pop music with a rough edge. It is also associated with Norwich and Woodbridge in England.
