The John Steel Singers
The John Steel Singers are an Australian indie band from Brisbane, active since 2007. The group consists of Scott Bromiley, Tim Morrissey, Ross Chandler, Pete Bernoth and Luke McDonald.
Bromiley plays vocals, guitar, keyboards, trumpet and bass. Morrissey plays vocals, guitar and keyboards. Chandler plays drums, cowbell and glockenspiel. Bernoth plays vocals, keyboards and trombone. McDonald plays guitar, keyboards and vocals.
The band is associated with indie pop and pop, and their name is also linked with the term trout rock.
