The Infested

The Infested are a punk group from Leeds, active since 2004. They play a ska-core and punk style that also sits within crack rock steady, skacore and ska punk. The current members are Dullah, G Infested and Phh.

Formation and early recordings

The original lineup features G, Lee, Chris and Knox. Between 2004 and 2006, the band records two short CDs, Buy To Survive and The Infested. Callum Howell, from the Lincoln band MCD, joins on guitar and vocals before the 2006 Leftöver Crack tour, but dies shortly afterwards, and the band then goes into hiatus.

Tours and line-up changes

The Infested tours once as part of The Crack Rock Steady 7, featuring Stza from Leftöver Crack on vocals, and once with Leftöver Crack itself, with G filling in for Brad Logan on guitar. The band later undergoes a full line-up change, which introduces Phil from the Hereford band Shutdown.

Albums

The debut album is released by EHC Records and Pumpkin Records in 2008. It takes around four years to write and is recorded intermittently by G Infested. The band then plays its first tour in support of Myths, Lies & Hypocrites in December 2009, which is the first time it has performed in three years. That line-up includes G Infested on vocals and guitars, Phil on guitar and vocals, Dave Long on bass and vocals, and Andy Dazzler on drums. A later album, Eaten From The Inside, is planned for release on EHC Records.
