The Impellers are a Brighton-based deep funk and heavy soul group. They form in Brighton, UK in 2008 and are previously known as Ed Meme & the Forms. The band is signed to Freestyle Records and releases its first album, Robot Legs, in 2009. The group also has a second album in development.

Membership and instruments

The Impellers include Glenn Fallows, also known as Ed Meme, on guitar, Hammond organ and Rhodes; 'Lady' Clair Witcher on vocals; Alex Berry on bass; Tom Humphries on baritone saxophone; Chris Evans-Roberts on saxophone; Gram Canyon on trombone; Mark Yexley on trumpet; Will Stanley on drums; Ross Hansford on drums; and Barry 'Impact' Lalanne on guitar.
