The Hotel Ambush is a five-piece hardcore and metal band from the South Wales valleys. The group forms after Adam Winstone and Rhys Anderson leave another band they are playing in together because it is not working for them, and begin writing material they want to perform.

After that, the band holds a series of auditions before settling on the line-up for The Hotel Ambush. They then spend months rehearsing in a practice room and working on riffs, solos, squeals, harmonies and vocal styles.

The band plays a blend of hardcore and metal, with the available description also associating it with metalcore, melodic metalcore and metal.
