The Hitman Blues Band
The Hitman Blues Band is a blues and blues rock group formed in 1986. It plays a style rooted in contemporary and classic blues, with blues rock as a key part of its sound.
The group builds around Russell “Hitman” Alexander, with Ed D'Alessio, Mike Porter and Kevin Rymer also listed as members. Personnel changes have taken place over the years because of touring demands, but Alexander remains a constant presence.
It begins by playing across the New York metropolitan area, then extends its reach to the UK, Europe and the US Eastern Seaboard. The band has four critically acclaimed CDs and tours regularly in the UK and Europe.
