The Hideaways

The Hideaways is a San Diego-based alt-country group from La Mesa, United States, active from 2003 onwards and centred on Rian Greene. The name is also shared by several earlier acts, including an American soul and R&B group from the 1960s, a Liverpool beat band, and a contemporary American country rock group.

The 1960s soul and R&B version is known for the 7-inch single Hide Out, which becomes a Northern Soul cult classic. Another group using the same name is a Liverpool beat band that appears at the Cavern Club more than 250 times. A further American country rock act under the same name releases The Whiskey Tango Sessions on Big Bender and Dren Records.
